This week in Advent, we have joy anticipating the ultimate joy of Christ's coming—just as Boaz’s promise of redemption points to the greater redemption that Jesus, our Kinsman-Redeemer, would bring to the world. The joy in Ruth 3 reflects the joy of waiting for God’s deliverance and trusting in His provision.
